I'm definitely sick of it for these reasons:
1) With sex in every nook and cranny of our media, after time it's just gets LAME, old and predictable. It's no longer edgy. Promoting sexual dignity would be edgy and different. And it's pretty pathetic when that's all a show or movie can do to draw a crowd instead of actually relying on creativity and quality.
2) I'm one of those what you call "stuffy prudes". Even though it’s natural, I think that sex is graphic and personal and I believe, hell, I KNOW that that premarital sex and adultery should not be promoted and glorified. I wouldn't mind sex in the media so much if people were actually to distinguish between reality and the fantasy-laden throne of lies which is the media. And before you pull that lame “just change the channel” card, it may be a free country, but it's also a free country for us "prudes" who want to go through five minutes without hearing about sex.
3) When sex is talked about so openly and casually all the time, it takes the appeal away and makes it sound less fun and juicy. Overuse causes desensitization and makes things boring.

I'm also sick of getting hit on all the time by lowlives. Guys just watch these lame pickup lines from TV and think they can effectively use them in real life. Please.

Nope, you are not the only one. I am tired of having to cover my kids eyes practically, even on channels that used to be "safe" from that.....Kissing ALL the time, even on kids shows, sheesh!!! Too young.....period. Too much sex, nudity, and general lusting, yuck! Good thoughts.....leave some room for people to enjoy their own sexuality, etc. ya know?

I see your point, however, I am also comfortable in my beliefs and values. I watch some great programs that I really enjoy. I don't feel that sex is being "thrown in my face". I suppose that unconsciously I am NOT drawn to these shows so it is just not an issue. I don't have to "change the channel" because most likely it wasn't there in the first place. I'm NOT a "prude". I'm in my thirties, so I am in a different place in my life. No, I'm not just watching cooking shows or something. ;) I like good dramas, mysteries, well written comedies, lots of different genre. I love going out to the movies. I love to read. I love lots of different kinds of music. Yes, sex does have a place in my life, but I am not consumed with thinking about it. I think that when something is on your mind, consciously or not, you just will tend to notice it more. When I was pregnant with our son, my husband and I seemed to be seeing other pregnant woman EVERYWHERE!!! Were there more pregnant woman? Probably not. We just never really paid attention to it before then, or since, because it wasn't something that was consuming our lives like when we were going through it. When your priorities are different, you tend to see things differently.

I totally agree. I'm sick of seeing 2 fake tit b's fight over beer like it tastes great, no its less filling, stupid crap like that while my husband gets to enjoy every bit of it. I am sooooooooo sick of it!!! That's why today's young women think its the "in" thing to do to act and dress like whores they see on tv, in magazines and on those stupid video channels. Men don't even have to go to the strip joint anymore they can basically sit back, flip through the channels and find whatever they want, all in the comfort of their homes while the wives and children look on. I'm not a prude, trust me I'm a big freak in my bedroom and that's exactly were sex should stay, IN THE BEDROOM!!!!!!

Im glad others are noticing and concerned about this too. Where is the love. Of course, we all get mad about something or at someone at times, this is normal. I just wish it was how it use to be, a fun place to hang out in.

I hear ya hun......Many people in this world seem to worship at the altar of Sex. Advertisers say Sex sells........
..I guess it is all just part of living in a fallen world.
FYI: I don't necessarily think you are a prude. You just see that there is a lot more to life and relationships than sex. (Good for you!!)

Preach on. If there weren't so many out there who pay to
see it on the silver screen, buy dvd's to watch it at home,
or stay glued to it on the tube, the media would go elsewhere.
Money's the name of the game ... sad to say. They could
care less if they are destroying a culture.

no ur not d only one.. and ur not the only one either who gets hit on by these morons who think they can talk a woman into stripping her clothes and jump to bed with them... all bcoz they were dictated by the media that women come too easy these days. it's a sad, pathetic world out there. we know we got good values instilled in us, we better stick to our guns.
