this wont happen because unlike most countries iran isnt afriad to go to war with us. if they were to go to war with us it could very well start WWIII because all the other countries scared of us would prob help out iran and it could just be nasty.the next elected pres should focus more on the people and the problems we have in the us, like obesity, poverty, drug epidemics etc. pretty much everything bush doesnt think about.

I think it takes a lot of planning, and Bush doesn't really have that much time left. Especially now that he had to re-do the plan for Iraq. His plan for Iraq would have to be revised again, in order to have a successful plan for Iran. So both of those would have to go hand and hand. If he did start something over there, I highly doubt he would be able to finish it. So most likely the next administration will be dealing with this situation more than Bush will be. And given the time he has left. I'm guessing that we would be in Iran longer, than Iraq, because you have a totally different party coming in and finishing something, and no doubt will totally revise it. So it will be interesting to see what, and if anything happens. I honestly don't think imposing sanctions on Iran will do much.

Time grows short for this administration, and with campaigning heating up the Repubs won't force a hand with Iran that could hurt their chances, even though Bush can't be re-elected. I see it as something for a future administration.

Who gave the authority to USA to take action against Iran or for that matter any Country? It a shame that President Bush has not understood the World Opinion in this regard. Has he not learnt any lesson from Iraq imbroglio?

Well i believe that if will not be the Bush administration that will really take the action against Iran, But i do believe when Hilary Clinton take over the president, spot it will happen.She will bring our young men and women home.

Yes. This year. We will bomb their nuke sites, missile sites & maybe go after their govt.
Bush knows it has to be done. Next yr is an election yr when not much can be done. He doesn't know who will be pres in 2009. If it's a Dem, nothing will get done. In that case, Israel will probably have to do the job with nukes.
Bush appointed a naval aviator as head of CENTCOM. That was not for Iraq.

Bush will do it. He will go into Iran starting world war 3. Remember he can not be re-elected, however if world war three starts he remains in office.

I have no damn clue. Congress can outlaw nuking a non-nuclear state, but that's about the only hold they have on Bush's rabid-attack-dog thing with Iran. If he can't nuke them without Congress' approval, then he won't launch a costly ground war that will eat up American kids like crazy.

Not unless they ignore the fact that China just shot a satellite out of orbit with their new space weapon.
Bush is blowing away our military posture by wasting our resources on Iraq, while China and Russia grow stronger.
The man is an idiot, and history will show how he stupidly he commanded our country into ruin.

for sure not, and u know y coz they know that they will be up agianst very high moral people and what they have in their hands a de-moralised army with un satisfied nation.
