Yea! Isn't it funny how today's top forty is either just crap, or recycled music from way back when. It's a sham!
What has happened to mankind's creativity? When will people learn to write their own music again?
Surely it can't be all that difficult, and the possible combinations of sound must be more than that of combinations in a lottery draw. (something like 460,000,000,000 for a lotto wit 6 balls)

I do think that there is some good/original material out there, but it is so hard to find it when there is also so much crap.

So, I think i might just start a revolutiuon and write some music, hopefully it will be different to everything else that is out there.

The top 40 sucks *** 99 % of the time, but saying:
"good music not ruined by the radio"
They play all kinds of good music on the radio;
Pantera, Slipknot, Slayer, Smashing Pumpkins, Nickelback, Stone Sour, The Villains, and many more, those are popular bands. You just have to know what station to listen to, and, what radio is going to play hardcore metal 24/7 and make profit from advertising? But there are some good bands the radio misses sometimes, like;
-Killswitch Engage
-Cannibal Corpse
-Gwar
-Mastodon
even Tenacious D!
And some more advice: If you don't like the music on the radio, get an iPod! (or something inexpensive, like a cd player or walkman)

I grew up in the 70's and 80, and in the 90's I was in my twenties.
Now, music just seems to repeat all the stuff I listend to all my life. I've not really heard one Damn new thing! So, I've gradually become a Talk Radio listener and I flip the radio like crazzy to avoid lisenting to the".... same old thing as yesterday..." (police)

rap,hip hop,emo are the downfall of the industry.they feed you what they program you to like.do yourself a favor and shut off the radio, go see some local artists,visit a disc outlet that pushes unknown bands and youll find some of the best music there.dont follow the trend,create your own and support new artists.

I disagree with Cyrax, only because rap can't be classified as music. It is C'rap'. LOL

listen to heavy metal. they are generally underground, and not played ofter. you will get a better variety. there are softer songs, and the hard thrashing ones... i highly recommend mushroomhead and slipknot...
