LOL I'm sure you'll have the baby soon. Definitely DO NOT try any other things to induce labor. That baby will come when its good and ready. If it starts to get to the point where you're enough overdue that the placenta will deteriorate the Doctor will induce you. But don't push the issue until then because inducing isn't the way you want to go unless you have to. Being induced makes for a much harder labor and delivery than your body running its own show. Remember, too, that your due date is calculated from the date of your last period, while the baby's true number if weeks is the gestational age - calculated from 2 weeks after that last period, when he was actually conceived. So technically, it's 37 weeks pregnant (see source). The placenta starts to deteriorate at 40 weeks. Think of this as the first test of your patience, because from now on there will be MANY! And it's best to open your arms now to the idea of not pushing your baby to do things till he's ready. Research is showing that it's the baby's brain that actually starts the entire labor process, so he's in control and you really just have to wait for him to decide he's ready. Good luck.

I hope you have your baby very soon, but with pregnancy and labor you never know. If the P-gel and Cervidil did not work it is usually an indication that your body is not ready to deliver yet. This can change very fast though, so it could be in a few hours or it could be in a week or two. Good Luck!

There's really no way to determine how soon it will happen. Some women are dilated 1.5 - 2 cm for almost the entire pregnancy and it can mean nothing.
However, I will say that I was examined at 37 weeks and 4 days and was exactly 1.5 cm dilated and 50% effaced, and my water broke 5 days later! :) Good luck and congratulations! :)

Give it time, your baby will come when its ready. I know how hard it is to wait. With my first i was 4 cm for a month and still went over due by 5 days!! Your doc will let you know when they want to induce if you havent gone on you own, but believe me you want to go on your own! I promise you wont be pregnant forver, even though you prolly feel like you will =)

If the prepidil and cervidil didn't work, your body is not ready yet. Just be patient....the time will be here before you know it!

I know you've probably heard this before, but when baby is ready, baby will make his/her way out. The induction drugs don't work the same for everyone. I helped my baby become more effaced by walking and to help with contractions, sex works!

it depends on the person, with my twins I was 1 cm and 50% effaced and stayed like that for almost 2 wks. then I started nesting (cleaning everything!) then the next day my water broke. I was at 38 wks when it broke.

unfortunately this is something no one can answer for you it is up to your bub i hope it will be soon for you, i remember how uncomfortable it is!. with my first bub i was checked the day b4 i was due & was 2cm dilated, yet i still had to be induced at 11 days over (i just had the oxytocin drip & waters broken) my daughter arrived 12 days late after an 18hour labour. yet my friend was the same & she had her son only 2 days late after a 7hour labour (was her first bub too).
