Not a good one, generally. He was more centrist on many issues than many of those who ran his party, so got little traction without their approval. He ran a bigoted campaign in 1988 that played on less-than-intelligent themes. Was in a tough spot following Reagan, did not have the talent to handle Clinton. Not much of a leader on many critical American issues.

George H.W. Bush prayed for his son George W's win! Out of all people how can an ex-president wished that a moron like this guy wins re-election. Is iit because Dubya is his son?

That is why I rank HW as low as Dubya.

Well he couldn't have been that great if he was not re-elected. Doesn't mean he was bad just no great impact.
