the stupid calc on the comp doesn't have square roots so ya..

507=3X13X13
Hence square root of 507=13(sqrt)3
If u want the answer in decimals then it is 22.51666...

The calculator on the computer actually does have a square root (the standard version, not the scientfic... go to View and then choose Standard). The scientific view, however, does have an x^y button ... and, as you might know, anything to the power of 1/2 is the same as taking the square root of it.

On a test, you'd probably be asked to REDUCE the radical and not just simply plug it into your calculator.

sqrt(507) = sqrt(169 * 3)

Note that the square root of 169 is 13, so

sqrt(169 * 3) = sqrt(169)sqrt(3) = 13sqrt(3)

You can do the square root on the computer's calculator by calculating 507 ^ .5.

(The answer is 22.517.)

507 =3*13^2 so sqrt 507 = 13 *sqrt3 = aprox22.5167
