upload the pic on photobucket or imageshack. there you'll be able to make the pic smaller for websites/forums OR you can upload it on your pc to paint or any other program you have installed and crop it to make it smaller, by reducing the size.

There is a great free program called IrfanView that lets you resize images and a ton of other stuff. It is PC only, however. If you have a Mac, it has great tools built into iLife.

Make sure you keep the image aspect ratio constant (image width to height ratio), or your pictures will look weird. People will look either too fat or too skinny. There is usually a check box to enable this.

You should probably resize images down to 640x480 or smaller, and keep the quality at a medium setting.

maximum image modifying application can do it for you rather, and you do no longer desire something fancy like photoshop. i in my view use abode windows MGI photoSuite 4, which purely has some hassle-loose helpful properties. I in basic terms pass to the "regulate" function contained in the remarkable staggering menu bar and scroll all the way down to "resize" A field pops up and exhibits the call of the percentas 2 numbers (#by way of#). i exploit an SLR digicam, so my %. are constantly too vast for my myspace, so I cut back them to the requirement that's around 500 decision. To cut back a %, you purely ought to alter the 1st quantity, and the 2nd will around itself out. Otherwize, i assume the percents shape would be altered. them "shop as" and shop the small version. in case you have any low-priced application reminiscent of this, yet isn't set up in this type, pass to 'help" and seek "resize" may be the main suitable wager;)

open the original pic in ms paint and go to image/stretch/skew select H/V in the desired percentage of reduction (both should be same, Eg. 50%) and save, now file size has been reduced.
Hope it will work thanks
