We're in the very early stages of working on a Wolverine and the X-Men series," Kyle reveals. "The '90s series is the Holy Grail as far as fans are concerned, as far as where the X-Men were just at their best. And Eric Rollman, who I work with here, worked on that series, and I oversaw X-Men: Evolution from Seasons Two through Four. That was a beautifully animated series, wonderfully directed. But the direction on that series was always 9021X, and as much as we loved it and we edged it towards the sort of classic X-Men world, it never kind of got to where it needed to be in our minds as far as a true X-Men series. So with this one, we're trying to find that perfect middle ground with the great emotion and drama that Evolution had along with the classic stories and tales and elements that fans loved so much in the '90s series."

Giving fan favorite character Wolverine the spotlight is not just a marketing ploy, says Kyle, but also a way of shaking up the status quo of the X-Men world.

I think they need to keep the atmosphere X-Men had. X-Men did not, for the most part, talk down to the viewer,. XMEN:Evolution did. Another thing is they need to try to make the characters more human and less cliche. What I mean is Evolution while it had it's moments had allot of the humor based on what would be funny to a kid in 200?. Case in point, almost all of Jean's casual shirts came above her Belly Button. It did not fit her, it fit every Britney Spears wanna be which Jean was not. X-Men, while not the best animation in the world, has stood the test of time. I still love it 13+ years later. While I still watch tapes of Evolution I find allot of it grates on my nerves. I am 22 right now. In another 10 years I could still watch X-Men easily. Evolution, while a trip down memory lane, would not be as enjoyable. One thing Evolution did allot more of than X-Men was playing the moral ambiguity card. In X-Men Gambit, Wolverine and Mystique had there moments where they seemed less of a hero or Villian than usuall but pretty much stayed the same. In Evolution, they let Rogue start out um naughty(no one was really all that bad till season 4, aside from the Adults) then become good. The Villians and Heroes had some personal mountains to climb. Sad thing is it was simplified to fit Kids(the ones who dumbed it down seemed to think by being a minor you are an idiot) Having a cartoon set around Wolvie gives leway, even if they do make it set in the X-Kids universe. IIf they use the animating techniques from Evolution and the story arching shown in X-Men they should be better off. Another area X-Men sucseeded was by having the characters look different from episode to episode. Gambit might have stubble if he had not shaved the night before, and they actually changed their clothes, and when doing normal, nonpowered activities they blended in. Evolution had wolvie with the same Friggin 3 or 4 stubble hairs almost every episode. It looked Stupid. For them most part everyone had one or 2 outfits they wore each season. It did not really fit. Evolution did make better use of overall chronology. Case in point, one episode Blob has his head shaved, the hair slowly grew back. I guess what I am saying is the Wolverine series needs to preserve the characters basic lives from the comics(i.e. Juggernaut is not a MUTANT, and is Chuck's STRP brother) use the basic ages and builds from X-Men with the animation of Evolution. Though honestly/sadly I will probably watch the first few even if it is CRAP.

I'd like to see another X-Series, but Wolverine should not be the central focus unless it's a solo project. First of all, for him to be more of the focus, he'd have to be the leader and everybody knows Wolverine doesn't like to play the leader unless he absolutely has to. Why else would you think he'd let a jerk like Cyclops run the show. Second, his history is such a confusing jumbled mess without the X-Men that adding them would just complicate things. If you're gonna make another series make it about the team, Wolverine is a part of the team after all, and there is no Wolverine in team. Eventually people are going to get tired of Wolverine overload (I know I am). Usually when people are blitzkrieged with something that's well received it's usually met with vicious backlash. I may just be ranting incoherently here but I'm trying to warn you, don't overload us with Wolverine for the purpose of banking on a popular character (or if you are going to, do it in a solo show) and just use everyone else in the X-Men as support and cannon fodder. The X-Men as a whole and individually deserve the spotlight equally as it's the dynamic from their interaction together that makes them great to read and watch. Hell, I wouldn't like Wolverine half as much if I wasn't meant to dislike how much of a tight *** Cyclops was and how those two butted heads because of it. If shaking up the status quo is what you're after why not try using less of the better known characters for the team. Colossus has never been more than a guest star of any series, so he could be a possibility. Maybe the Multiple Man, or Cannonball. Havok could lead the team instead of Cyclops. Any of these things would make the show different. Hopefully you listen to the opinions given here and I'll be sure to look out for the new project.

The Claremont years were magical for the X-Men. He took a title that was lost in the Marvel heavens and made it the most popular comic title in the world. For many years, X-Men was a flagship for the Marvel Universe.

I'd be happy to see another X-Men animated series, but I don't need to see Wolverine in every animation cell to enjoy it. I'd like to see them really develop a continuity for themselves that includes the background characters.

Too often, X-Men stories focus on Wolvie, Rogue, Storm, Cyclops, Jean, Prof. X, Beast, Iceman, and occasionally Gambit. When you're throwing Colossus in as fan service, it's not all that cool with me. Where are the New Mutants? Where's Psylocke? Or Angel? Or Shadowcat? And also, every story doesn't have to involve Magneto, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, or the Sentinels. The X-Men have a great Rogue's Gallery (no pun intended).

I'd like to see a story focusing on the classic X-Men, but I don't think it'll happen. Maybe we'll get lucky though, and they'll find a mix of characters that makes for a good show.

IT DOES NOT MEAN IF WOLVERINE IS YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER THEN HE IS EVERYONE ELSE`S, LEAVE AT JUST X-MEN,
YOU DID NOT START THIS COMIC , YOU JUST GREW TO LOVE IT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE SO WHY SHOULD YOU CREATE SOMETHING LIKE WOLVERINE AND THE XMEN, LEAVE IT BE.
