My doctor said I can keep it in till it gets uncomfortable. I'm already showing at 9 weeks. I will be huge by 20 weeks....so my question is when did you guys take it out??? How did you keep it from closing up??? I still want mine pierced without repiercing it.

My friend put something in it. I haven't got the chance to ask her she's been busy with her newborn.

I went to the peircing place and for 10 bucks i got a plastic one, ideal for pregnant woman, but i took it out about 25 weeks, because with my protruding belly it was sticking out and it looked goffy and was getting in the way.

Mine got to the point where it was soo uncomfortable....so I took it out, and can't wait till I can get it pierced again! Not untill after the baby is born, March 12th! I'm not sure if there is something to put in place of it, so it won't close up.

I've had 2 kids, and I've kept my belly piercing.
When it gets uncomfortable, google "pregnancy piercings" or visit your local piercing parlor, and get yourself an extra long umbrella bar made out of something flexible.
It likely won't be pretty, but it will do the job. (Heck, weed wacker line will work in a pinch...)
You may have to take it out for the delivery (I had 2 c-sections, and I had to take it out the second time, but not the first--which was an emergency), but then you can just put it right back in.

hiya, first of all, congratulations.
i dont have a child myself, but when my sister was pregnant she had to take it out around 15 weeks
it did close over but she had it re-pierced,
if we had thought of this idea at the time then it would have been good lol ....
when it gets a bit of trouble why dont you take it out during the day, and then at night when you go to bed get two belly rings, put one in the top hole and one in the bottom , will help from closing up

I took mine out a little late with my first, around 5 months and it streched out just a little, but it doesnt look wierd or anything. I never wore it with my second and when i put it back in recently it took a little bit of effort but it went back in farley eaisly, you shouldnt have to have it repierced or anything. I prolly wouldnt try to wear it for too long cause you dont want it to strech out too much.

i took mine out 4 days ago i am currently 11 weeks and 3 days pregnant try fishing string and tie it in a knot
