I am a 34 yr old former skater and the kickflip was one of my favorite tricks because if you mastered it, you could combo with anything!! first of all, get a new board with plenty of tail. 1989 Alien Workshop? Lol! You have to be able to ollie at least 2-3 feet, practice that first. Then work on your flip, without landing on the board just practice enough that you time the board turning over and landing on the wheels. And with your flip foot, try not to flip towards the left or right, but straight down. Lift those knees into your chest, get compressed, watch the board flip and land it!! In one smooth motion!! I was just like you, but I kept at it. My favorite ollie trick, that I "invented" in my neighborhood was the kickflip to indy! they used to call me Natas, after Natas K, from the Santa Monica Airlines Skate Team, his ollies were unbelievable! Look him up and good luck!!

With a kickflip you could flick down and out of the realm of the board. amke confident your weight is regardless of the board, no longer all on the tail. The flick could be on the concave bit the place the nostril starts off to get greater. With a heelflip you have do precisely an identical different than push your heel out and scoop it up at contemporary and you'd be promptly above the board because it spins. that's extraordinary becuase you sub conciously understand while to provide up down after that's flipped. it relatively is going to easily happen

Okay. First you place your feet in an ollie formation. Then, the foot in front will have to slant a little so that its aligned with the board. Then try to pop an ollie while in the stance, bring your front foot up. By then it should flip, then land it.

since you said theres "no pop" try getting new bushings? they could be worn out, or maybe get lighter wheels/trucks, lighter the better, so you have more height to the ollie and make an easy kickflip
