First, off, it's normal to be afraid about death. So don't beat yourself over the head just because you are. First thing is to stop being afraid of being afraid. That's called anticipatory anxiety. There are lots of books on how to reduce anxiety in general and about anxiety over death. Check some out on amazon or the library or see a counselor. One thing you can think about that is if you had that asthma attack when you were 8 and you're 21, that was 13 years ago and you're doing ok. Try meditation, yoga, and other similar techniques. You can try counseling as well; some medication can help. Don't feel bad if you're anxious. There is nothing wrong with you. You are just a human being with feelings. Another thing to do is to look around at all the wonderful things in life. Even something like a flower. Chances are you and your loved one will have years and years together to appreciate the beauty on earth. And when you feel better, maybe you can think about how to make the world a place where people have less fear. Good luck. I will pray for you but I know you'll be just fine even without my prayers.

No, not at all. I know the spirit lives forever and if you are born again with Jesus as your Savior, the scary part just goes away. We are all sinners, but once saved you are no longer judged by the law (Ten Commandments) but by grace. I am on my way to Heaven for everlasting life. Here is a website to look at. It will take your fears away of death. In fact I am so looking forward to "the rapture."

No. Not in the least bit. I fear death somewhat, but its certainly not the end. It will just mean going from one plain of existence to another. Its mysterious, but not really terrifying. Why should it be terrifying?

Well, if you focuys on death instead of living life fully, death will seem ominous. Living and livng makes days wonderful and death far fetched.

I think it's terrifying that we are still HERE!! The only fear is how much we have to suffer until we're dead. I fear the PAIN of dying. But I'm ready to see what's on the other side. Bring it on!!!! @8-)

Death is a fact of life, enjoy what you have when you have it, but be respectful of others so they too can share the joys of life.

I use to be very scared until I found peace through Jesus. Now I never worry if I die because, I know where my spirit will be resting for all eternity.
