Recognition. A logo.. or symbol that is easily identifyable. People often recognize a logo if not the acutal name of the product.

Logos provide you with product/service recognition. There are logos out there (that are not words) that you recognize for sure. How about the little Cingular guy or the Target dot. Companies use logos to represent their products and services - and (hopefully) their good reputation. It's important not to keep changing your logo. People DO remember them - and associate them with your product/service.
