Go find some tC car forums and spend the next 3 months there before touching your car. I guarantee you, that you will learn a lot. I know a good deal about cars and I haven't gone to a car school, everything i've learned I learned it in car magazines and car forums. If you want 240-280hp considering your car is pulling about 120Hp to the wheels, you will need to turbo and that gets VERY expensive. You seem like you are 16 and this is your first car.. So start saving up!

If the car is automatic, look for appearence mods on the forums like lip kits, HID kits and rims. Stay away from body kits.
If it's stick, then look for things like Cold Air Intakes, Cat back exhausts, headers, Chips etc. Stick to the forums, you WILL learn a lot.

the guy above me has the correct idea. Read on forums. theyll point you in the correct direction.

i would highly suggest not modding it though. Even though toyota tells you otherwise, the Tc is not a sports car, nor is it an ideal car to mod. It has a small engine, little tuning potential, and overall just isnt the best thing to start with. it will rgeatly hurt your resale value.

the only way youre getting that kinda power is with a supercharger or turbo, and if you save up enough, would be mega fun. I worked a year at a grocery store to turbocharge my first car, a 97 VW GTi VR6. Totally worth every penny. god i loved that car.

I, personally, would save my money for my next car, and buy something youll REALLY want, and with the potential to mod to whatever extreme youll want. After the turbo kit+exhaust on my GTi, i stopped modding, then saved up for my STi, which i have now. Definately worth the patience.

TRD supper charger would be a nice start and cold air intake and TRD exhaust and the list goes on check your local dealer for many TRD accessory's that wont void your warranty.
