The 21st G7 summit was held from June 15 to June 17, 1995 in Halifax, Nova Scotia . It cost $25 million CAD.
Basically what the summit was, was a meeting of representatives from the world's seven largest (G7) industrial economies to discuss current issues.

Since 2004 it has been the group of 8 leading industrialized nations, formerly the G7. Now with the addition of Russia after years of special priveledge on the part of their officials being granted access to the meetings, guess who thats thanks to.
