i'd call her doctor and report what is going on. she may be having a bad reaction to her medication or it may just be too strong. do not fear you mom is in there someplace but if you want her back you may have to take charge and go to the doctor on her behalf.

Your mother sounds a bit like me ok.Im scizophrenic /bipolar so pretty messed up but nobody really knows about it and I hold a full time job ,Before I started on my meds I could smell stuff and I was screaming alot because to be honest I just felt so irritable and I couldnt sleep for days.I felt like my skin was crawling I was so uncomfortable everyone seemed so loud and Im going to tell you what I think caused my serious chemical imbalance and everyone can disagree but I dont care. Secondhand hand exsposure to crystal meth.Meth is on our money and my husband did meth secretly and I did his laundry so I beleive even touching it will cause mental disturbance. It soaks in to the skin. She could of been exsposed and not know it.Im not a doctor but all I can say is an antiphyschotic drug called risperdal saved my life. Get her to go to the doctor or maybe you could go to a free clinic and get her to go if money is tight. They will help you.

God love ya Sweety! Life can really through some hard balls at times. You can call your local CHILDREN & YOUTH services as you are under 18 & ask for help. If anything they may get you into an independent living program to help yourself. I was a caseworker in the past & you can get alot of support from them. USE IT!
I have a sister like your mom. I love her but there is not alot you can do to change others! Take care of yourself, make the right choices, and hold your head up! You are not alone! God does not give you more then you can handle! You can and you will get through this!

oh girl.. you have same problem like.. me.. just the different your mom take medicine that is ruin her mind so bad.. when i was teenage, my mom used to threw me out from her house, she used to called me whore, she used to scream.. and cry and after that she was laugh by her self on the other minute.. i was live like in hell, she was so selfish and she just care about her self, like she the most perfect person in the world, i was hate her so much.. and now i am 28 i still hate her, i don't know why i still have that feeling.
and what should you do? you should get second opinion about that pain medicine, change to the other Doctor.. if possible. because that pain killer made her more crazy and yes... she is crazy and depress like my mother.. just the different my mother never took any medicine..(and she is still look depress/ crazy sometime)
you are still 17 so i am not sure you can go anywhere.. unless just try to stay away from your mother as far as you can at home(like i did )
stay in school and plan for you future.., just try to forget about your mother problem for a while you need time for your self.. you are still teenage.. girl.

Please call the police to have them check your neighbors out. If there is a chemical thing going on, that's very dangerous to your family and your neighbors. Your mom sounds very sick. Sometimes pain meds are all that help, but she should be seeing a pain management doctor. These doctors monitor the medication closely. When it's time to ween her off the meds., they do it slowly so she doesn't go through hard withdraws. I'll be praying for you and you mom.

Yup, sounds like she's nucking futz. I endured it. If none of the above good advice works, stay with a friend as much as possible. Get a job, save up, and when you're 18, find a group of girls to share an apartment. Don't just run away or get married to escape the homelife. Be safe.
Good luck.

She could be having hallucinations from the drugs she is taking. It is very possible and something to think about. My mother acts weird and sees things when she takes certain pain medications. It is a side effect some individuals have. See if you can get her to talk to her doctor about the problems you have noticed.

Sounds exactly like my friends mum! She complains quite a lot, but the complaints are always irration and exagerated. Everything is irrational and exagerated. Sometimes she even just makes up plain lies, and its as though she really believes them. Shes very moody. I think shes nasty and crazy. As for your mum, she may have bipolar. You should convince her to see a doctor, offer to go with her. If she refuses to go, you could always go on her behalf for a professional opinion. Look up bipolar on the net, and several other mental illnesses, see if she fits in with any of them.

Now, if your mother is taking pills for pain you must remember drugs have many adverse side effects. What you should do is talk to her physician about her meds see what he can tell you. Also because of the meds, and her qualms with your neighbors she is connecting the burning eyes to them. Please address her physician immediately about her dosage and if there is an alternate drug for her.

First do you have family member who you can talk to? I would suggest you going to a counselor to learn how to deal with your mother. I think she is addicted to pain killers and yes they make you hallucinate and that is what is happening. You have to save your mother from herself. Are you strong enough to do this?
