I'm currently using ATI Radeon 9250 (AGP). The recent driver upgrade from ATI gave me so many problems. And of course, this won't be able to run newer games. I'm currenlty playing Battlefield2, Counter-Stirke: Source, Rome: Total War.

I'm not particularly looking for something that will enable me to set every graphics to max. But I want the games to be decently playable.

Made some research and these models fit my budget. But which one is better? GeForce is much more expensive but are they more reliable (less annoying) than ATI?

Requirements:
Bus type = AGP
Budget = $200
Card must last for more than a year.
(play some current games, directX 10 possibility, vista possiblity).
Biased on the GeForce 7600 GT but high end of budget.

Go for the GeForce 7600GT , it will be faster than the other.

And the 7600GT is very overclockable.
Sorry no DX10 with those cards.

Which kind the X1650 comes in Pro and XT, and the 7600 comes in plain and GT. Also, what is your budget, perhaps we could find something better for the money. I am assuming you need AGP since that is what your old one is.

I would get a 7600GS
I don't think you'll see DX10 on a AGP card, but that's just me.
