CDFS stands for the CD file system. So for some reason, it's reporting the storage size of your CD-ROM.
Make sure that whatever program you're running is run from the C: drive, not the CD/DVD-ROM drive.

Don't get confused between Memory and Disk space. What you mentioned CDFS is the disk space. D: is a CD drive and 445 is the capacity of the disc you have it in there.
Disk space is where 'data' is stored and memory is where 'data' is processed. TO get the disk space click on any of the drives and do a 'properties'. TO find out how much 'memory' you have and is used, open 'task manager' by right clicking task bar. "task bar" is normally located on the bottom of your screen where 'start' icon is there.

Try deleting the History and Temporary Internet files. These hide in your computer taking up space. Go to your web browser, I know IE the best, go to the top task bar to Tools, click on Internet Options. On the General tab you should be able to find the Delete button and go from there. If this isn't the problem then you have too many programs or files on your hard drive, you'll need to determine what is essential to your daily lifestyle. Backup what you need and want, maybe even look into an external hard drive for family/friend photos, music, video, etc. If this is still not the problem you'll need to find a computer tech.

Once a CD is recorded, the computer reads it as having 0 bytes of space left, even if it is a CD-R. Once the data is burned, the CD is "closed", which is the final step in recording it. What closing does is it makes the disc compatible with every CD player and computer. Once it's closed, there's no more burning you can do on it. If it is an RW, you can erase it, as long as it's unscratched.

My computer - local disk drive (C: drive) on your left will display your computers hard drive statistics. As for regaining your more storage try to delete unnecessary files or buy an external hard drive (also good for data backup)
