I'd say nano but it really is personal choice. if you like a screen then the nano is for you. if don't like to know what ur listening to then go for the shuffle. Personally i love the nano because it enables you to do more! Also it has more song room on it! LOL so I guess it just depends on what you like best...

have both and use both for different situations.. the shuffle is great at the gym, or on a run or anything you do that don't want it to get in the way.. nano has more memory and can be used while driving long distances, flying etc... people complain that the shuffle doesn't have a screen but I know what i downloaded onto it so it's not a big deal.. i like the shuffle.. better price..

Nano... I work for apple ipod technical support and i have gotton more calls with people that have had nano's than shuffles... Though i do get the majority or calls are ipod videos.

Ugh! Nano of course. Shuffle is just an expensive rubbish! No display, no color, nothing!
You can get a Creative Zen V Plus with that price that has a great display and photos and video playback, with a very good quallity.
