That is a true statement.

If the set of rational numbers WAS a subset of the whole numbers, then all rational numbers would be whole numbers.

This is false; take the number 1/2. It is a rational number but is NOT a whole number.

You know that double R notation, I believe that's what they are linked to... "the real numbers."
