May the best teams and best coaches win. There was such a long time before there were any Black coaches and then before there were many. It would be kind of fake to not mention this once in a while. It doesn't matter the race of a coach, but it used to be a factor.

Honestly I don't really care - but we now have two weeks until the game is played so get use to hearing about it regardless. The one thing that will be true is that the first black coach will win a Superbowl this time around and lose a Superbowl all at the same time.
Good Luck!!!
btw - how come no one ever mentions that Marv Levi was the only Jewish coach to lose four Superbowls - must be anti-Semitism right? jk

No I don't care...and yes it's getting old to highlight the race.
He did a good job...that's all that matters......They may as well have said....
"and so we have it folks the 1st black coach to lead the NFL...how suprising is that?"
That's the problem with todays society...it's race this race that...why not just say..hey so and so did great.
They make it sound like a hindrance if a person is any color or gender.
I think people can see what race he is..we don't need to pay some dumbas announcer to tell us.

I have answered this question a couple of times and will answer it again the same way. Does it matter, NO. Should it, NO. Lovie is the head coach of my favorite team, and they are going to the big dance. He just happens to be black. I don't care if he is red, green, or blue with yellow spots. If he is the best man for the job, so be it. This is about a FOOTBALL game and TEAM. Football is the ultimate team sport. No one player or coach is bigger than the team. Tony and Lovie themselves are downplaying the whole race thing. Lets just play the game.

WooHoo...Good for them. I am sooo glad the media is making this such a big story. I mean after all the years blacks worked to become equals and now they are being treated differently just because they are black? Wait...isn't that what they fought against? I'm confused... Equal is Equal is Equal either be it or shutup...-> to ALL races.

Personally, I feel it's ridiculous to constantly promote about the advances of blacks! Affirmative Action and situations indicating achievements by races causes racism. my views will most likely be considered racist but I am labeled "Native-American". However, I consider myself an AMERICAN! It is obvious that certain races care more about their ethnicity rather than their country and that does offend me. If one doesn't want to be considered just an American they should move to the country they are most proud of. I'm disgusted of this racial **** and the only situations that this society makes a major about are those of minority success.

I'm white but, it's a big achievement and if you think of what African Americans have overcome than I think you would appreciate it a little more....Just think not even 50 years ago African Americans weren't even allowed to play so yes it's a big deal

No, I think it is actually a little racist to make a big deal about it, differentiating them from white coaches, keeping separate records for black coaches.
