The match Shawn won from coming in first was not so "impressive" as each competitor came in after only a 1 minute interval. That Royal Rumble was absolutely horrible, too!
My personal favourite was the 1990 Royal Rumble. Never has there been a better booked Rumble match. It was a rollercoaster ride of emotions all the way with almost every entrant having an established persona and the ability to create a superb reaction from the crowd...and it was won by the Hulkster!

Shawn Michaels and Chris Benoit because they were the first to enter and the last to leave the ring - victorious.
Benoit's Rumble experience is even more spectacular since he had to eliminate Big Show. He was like a mad Dobermann hanging in the ropes in order to turn the tides in his favor. He displayed wrestling skills and power but most importantly, guts and sheer determination.
I guess a true Rumble survivor needs those things in order to win magnificently.
