Unless you are paying for it you kinda have to come to an agreement on clothing with your mother. Maybe a middle ground.

I wanted to buy thongs, my mom told me I was way to young. (14)
I tried to tell her I had no tush and my under ware went where it did not belong anyway so why not get those that were made to go there. After shopping we went home with what she thought I should wear. That weekend my girlfriend (a straight A student..I was not)spent the night and told my mother that her mom let her wear thongs and then showed my mom her thong. I thought I was going to die. But the shocking thing was she bought me two thongs the next day and said if my attitude didn't change I could keep getting more.
Now I have 3 boys and they wear boxers and have done so since they were 12. No white fruit a looms in there drawers they would rather go commando...So rebellion Yep they banded together one week and went commando. I had no choice but to go get what they wanted.
Teens got to love them

My mom lets me basically wear what I want to wear. She'll state her opinion on it, and she'll try to make me choose the other underwear...but I don't! Lol! She'll say, "That looks trashy. Why would you want to wear it?" I'd tease her and say, "So my new boyfriend can have a little fun!" Of course, I am only joking with her. The thing is, the more you tell a teen to not do something, the more they will want to. That is how I see it, anyway. If your daughter wants to get a thong or something, get her a thong and see if she likes it. If she wants a lacy bra, get her one. It isn't that big of a deal.

I would be angry if someone forced me to wear something I didn't like to wear. Why create rebellion over something like this? Why punish a child for not liking something just because you think it is appropriate? She has a right not to like it, so just let her.
Perhaps you can take her to the store and let her show you what she would prefer to wear. If it's too provocative, find a happy medium. "You want to wear this....I'd prefer you wear this...but I guess I'll settle for this if you will."

nope. my mom thinks i wear trashy undies but she doesnt say i cant wear them. shes the one buying them so im guessing she doesnt have a problem with it. she never had to force me to wear a bra. she just came home from work one day when i was 11 with these cute little training bras and i wore them, now all she gets me are vs ones so i wear them with no fight... and wearing no bra is just gross.

omg. my momma figures that she dosent have to look at it, so y not wear it? by tellin someone that they cant do something they want to even more. dont tell her that she cant wear things you cant even see. its her space. her descion. her body. if an underwire or a thong bugs the hell outa her then she has to deal with it. let her wear what she wants. you dont see it and if she isnt old enough to buy her own underwear prolly no one else will either.

Ya my mom forces me to wear tighty whities and short shorts when I go out to play with the other kids, but a couple days ago I rebelled and went out naked, then I can home in a cop car and I learned my lesson. I wear my short shorts and tighty whities because my mommy says its for my own good. So I listen.

It is underwear for ****'s sake! You should be more concerned with making your daughter responsible enough to not get into a situation where someone else sees it! If no one else sees it, what the hell is the problem?

i wore what i was told til i was old enough to buy what i thought i wanted. i soon realized i didnt really want it (thong underwear) its a lot less painful in the long run to just wear what mom wants til your 18

Yes, my mom wanted me to wear some too big, slutty underwear that looked uncomfortable, and would have been falling down all day. I threw it away.
