i'm trying to get a rough idea of my max squat, I'm able to use the leg press machine with over 13 plates (45 pounders) on each side and can do about 5 reps of that. People usually stop and watch me, and say things like wow that amazing, but I've damaged my maniscus now, and i'm just trying to guess what my max is

Sounds like you're doing ~1200lbs on the leg press. If you are going knees to chest while doing them, I believe that you can probably do 400-500 lb squat. The carry over from leg press to squat is terrible, but still a 500 lb squat is very good. I think that would put you in the top 5% of all people for sure.

its not about "how much" but how often, how many, and what your lifting for: personal gain, compitition, pleasure , body building, everybody has different body styles and sizes, and what i can lift may not be close to what you can lift, then again you may be lifting more than i can lift, remember different people lift and have various reasons why they lift, but its not about how much but "WHY"!!
