It's a sort of breading and seasoning mix that is used for meat. You put the meat in a bag, put the Shake & Bake in, and shake it up so the meat is covered well with the little crumbs. Then you bake the cutlets or whatever sort of meat, and the breading cooks with it. I had it as a child, but we cut that out because it's a bit high in sodium.

Well Shake and Bake can be in terms different meanings. Shake and Bake when I grew up was a coating placed on Chicken or fish and baked in the oven. I have also heard the slang term Shake and bake. I have no idea the meaning of that term. I hope this may help you. Good Luck.

That was product to make fried chicken....you put the chicken in the bag with he premade breading and shake...then Bake!!
Ha! I have not heard Shake n' Bake in years!!!
