I am trying to guage consumer habits for a web site we are expanding. I quality or price more important to you... Given the same type item.. one is $99 and the other is $200. Would you buy the more expensive one if the quality and durability is better? Ex: Woudl you buy an OK clothes Iron for $30 or a really great one for $125?

It really depends on what I'm buying. To me, that iron is NOT important, so the $30 one is fine in my book. However, for example, an MP3 player I was willing to spend a lot for better quality. To each his own.

Depends totally on the quality AND price difference. And how that affects the usability. Also, available resources have an impact on that.
