Also, go to www.asus.com and look up your mother board by model, that page will tell you the type of RAM that your motherboard supports.

I have this board and it is awesome, it can take 533, 667 and 800 Mhz DDR2
Trust me get the 800MHz DDR 2 non-ECC. At least 1 GB, or more if you can afford it.
