Image...... think image in a sense that is not viable. He may have loved apes, therefore hw wanted s to be created in the "image" that he loved....... Either that or we evolved. Hmmm........

God's image is not a literal term, just like everything else in the Bible, it is open to interpretation. We create God to be this amazing superb being, and then we say we are created in God's image. We are supposed to be loving, merciful, and self-less. That is what Gods' "image" is supposed to be. If God is almighty and powerful and what not, then He doesn't have a face. Most people mistake the image of Jesus for being God, but it's not.

Well if you mean we are symetrical in the sense that we have two arms, two legs, a trunk and walk upright, then we look like apes; however most of us are not covered in fur, fling our own excrement,. and live outdoors. Also I have never seen God. If he likes indie music drinks Guiness and is an artist then I would say I was made in his image. But I can't speak for you.

it is not merely external. In the bible it doesn't say that god was a human, he could have been an ape like creature and we humans have evolved from that.
