Your stomach muscles will be stretched but you can get them back again with a LOT of work. If you choose to breastfeed it helps you lose the baby weight. Carrying a baby around is a serious workout so get ready. You won't believe what a little baby can do to your muscles, but carrying them around 24/7 is serious exercise!

hmm well I had a very hard flat pretty belly until I had my son. It's been nine months now and it still isn't back to the way it was. Sux bad, but b/c I had such a nice tummy it is still flat for the most part but there is no muscle tone to it. But, don't be too disappointed to find that after you have your kid your tummy will be puffy for a bit and you will have a little extra skin. My doctor told me "it takes time to get your skin back to normal after all it took ten months to get that way you can't expect it to go back immediately!" So yeah I guess diet and excercise if you have time. I know I don't have any time now.

You have to start by exercising and eating healthy during your pregnancy. Don't try to lose weight but try not to gain a lot. If you stay healthy and get back to a work out regimen after baby is born, it is possible to get your figure back. You wont look as you did before pregnancy but you can get close! Good luck!

Just stay active after the baby and workout whenever you can and ,not right after the baby's born, but soon enough you'll be back in shape. It'll take a little extra work though to get that pre-pregnancy stomach back though.

this depends on your body make-up. I am really skinny because I have a high metabolism. I thought I would actually thinken up a little after my pregnancy, but nope. I went right back to a size 0, flat stomach and no stretch marks. And I had a nine pounder!

im pregnant right now, and i have gained like 40 almost 50 pounds? im 9 months pregnant, and im not sure what i will look like after i have my baby, but my mom when she was pregnant with my sister, she only gained 14 pounds while she was pregnant, which i think is kind of unhealthy. then the day that she had her, my mom was able to wear her size 3 jeans home that same day! i think its crazy if you ask me. but not everyone is as lucky as her to loose all that weight right away. it will take some time.

If you keep and eye on your weight and exercise the while you are pregnant and the while after
I do not believe that any girl (woman) should ever have the excuse of being pregnant to getting fat. Even if you are sent to your bed you should very much watch what it is you eat. You are not feeding for two. You ought to talk to your doctor about your concerns...

I'm part of a pretty large mom's group, and there are indeed several moms who have gotten their stomachs flat again. They had to work at it, but they have it. A lot of it has to do with genetics - go see what your mother looks like, and you'll likely wind up looking a lot like her after childbirth.

Congrats on the baby, btw!

LOL! Welcome to the world a pregnancy! Yes your tight little tummy will stretch. You need to make room for a baby which could grow to be 7-9lbs or more!
