Actually it is a good thing to know how well you score, if you have marks rather than grades attached to an examination.

Say if you give an exam which has 10 marks, if you score 6 out of 10 your percentage is 60% means you would ideally know about 60% of the material you studied about. Study harded and your score increases. This kind of system is present in certification tests. They have marks, but the final scoring is graded. Lets not look at the system as only stressing on marks, lets use it as a quotient of our knowledge depth and use it to our advantage.

yes it's the real scenario in our country. definitely it'll change but not in a fraction of second. it takes generation to make a shift until a revolution occurs to make quick change. Let's hope the best. We Indians should work towards it. very nice question.

yes it can if they choose to follow abroad studies like australia because they run on grades till 12 excet in 12 u will have to get a percentage based score but it will still be in grades like A and B......

This has to change , introduce grade systems , this has to be changed .
