A couple weeks? as in 6 weeks? You would see a very tiny being..... somewhat looking like a mexican jumping bean.

I just got my first ultrasound today, at 8weeks 1day. My baby has a little head and little arms and legs. My boyfriend says it looks like a turtle (because it's so tiny). But I just see my beautiful baby. There was one point in the ultrasound when the lady zoomed in so the baby took over the whole screen, there were fingers, toes...and of course we heard a very solid thump thumping of the heartbeat (as well as seeing it). It was really amazing! Good luck!

At my first ultrasound (5 weeks) all that could be seen was the gestational sac and a tiny bit sticking out that looked like a small grain of rice. The "rice" was the baby. The whole sac was no bigger than a small olive.

It would look like a tiny little pea or piece of something. The baby is soo small. But visible enough for the first ultrasound.

It depends on how many weeks pregnant you are. Hopefully you catch this mistake and add how many weeks before the question gets too old for people to care about answering...

If the baby is in the uterus... you know to verify its not ectopic. I don't think you would be able to see much.
