If I have trouble sleeping, it might be because I had a late night coffee or caffeine drink like Coca Cola. Even tea contains caffeine.
I like to have a very warm bath before bed. This relaxes me. I also avoid violent or very loud movies and music before bed.
If I drink a glass of milk or hot Ovaltine before I go to bed this also helps me sleep like a baby.
So, relaxing before bedtime is the best thing to do.
Sometimes the thoughts of a busy day or a problem can prevent you from sleeping. I do all of the above things when I have such a day.

I sleep with a tv on so that it distracts from the things that I'm worrying about. Or every now and then I take one Tylenol PM. The instructions say to take two but one does the trick for me. Just allow for 8 hours of sleep after you take it.
I've heard exercise works to help you sleep better but have not tried that.... : )

I do. I find that if I light candles and put them around my bathtub and take a long hot bath, and then get out and curl up in my warm bed with a romance, that helps me to get to sleep.

Sometimes I do, I put on my iPod and listen to some very relaxing music, such as Moby, Dave Matthews Band, just slower music that I like...I usually fall asleep shortly after. :) Good Night.
