How do you make a slideshow video with background music to put on youtube? is there a free program which you can do so?

Programs such as Window Movie Maker are availible on stock computers and there is also a program on Macs too. (though I forget the name)
Movie editing programs are all different but can be learned by googling the name of the editor and the words "how to".
With editing programs, you make slideshows with pictures, add music, create mild special effects, and export them as various files including mpegs, quicktime videos, and others.

Most editors run about 100$ and upwards to 800$. I recommend Adobe Primiere Elements for about 100$.
