When i try to get into a game room a red x appears in the corner?

In yahoo spades i can't get into a game room; a red x appears in the top right corner

Is it a little red X? Are you using IE7 (Internet Explorer 7)? I had this problem on some sites that didn't support the new IE format. Because running both IE6 and IE7 doesn't work very well, I solved it by downloading Netscpe and accessing the site that way.
