If only, oh, if only he hadn't been killed by that freak bulldozer accident, Dixie thought. But with her great idea, maybe she could cheat death, and bring the man of her dreams back to life -- or at least, back to her dreams. She kissed her ever-present photograph of Caz. "Come here, Caz," she called to her kitty. "We'd better get to work."

The orange tabby curled around her leg, innocently purring. Green emerald eyes of fire danced. They swirled with more than instinct, but perhaps a light of intellegence.
"What do you mean . . ." He suddenly spoke.
Dixie rolled her eyes. "That's right. We're cheating death. Don't be that way. Come on." She leaped out of her chair and almost flipped off before catching herself. Excitment was an overwhelming sensation.
Caz licked his forepaws, sending her into a spiral of silence. Finally, when the girl was near eruption, he continued.
"He cheated you, Dix. Why bother bring him back? He's where he deserves to be. And," he narrowed his eyes, "Don't you think it would be best if we let nature 'take its course?'"
"No, not really." She rushed towards the closet and pulled away the cobwebs. "Caz, where is the broomstick? Ah, nevermind. I found it. Go get yourself some catnip. We don't want you airsick now do we?"
Truely this wasn't a dream...

Her troubles were forgotten, left on a streetcorner to be soaked to saturation, while she remains with that one man, safer and more secure than her obscure thoughts can procure.
