updating phone sw Lg PM225?

Does anyone know how to update the Phone SW for LG PM225 using a data cable?? I tried the regular way and it won't go through

It sounds like you tried to update it via Vision services (Sprint's internet). Unfortunately, you will not be able to update the software via serial cable without the software itself on the computer. You can take it into any Sprint store and they will update the software for you free of charge. If they aren't busy, the updates usually takes fifteen minutes. If you go to a busy store, expect one to two hours. Hope this helps!
