does anyone know a good place to have a retirement party, their will be around 12 people attending, slide show, decorations etc. not really wanting it at a restaurant and the marriott is way to expensive. city of west covina, calif?

Try using the recreation hall at a local church. They would be happy to let you use it for either a small donation or an offering to the church.

If you prefer not to use a restaurant, then you may want to check with your local City Hall. they would know where you mite be able to have one, with little cost to you. If you are planing to serve food also ask about if your can bring your own, or if you need to cater it in. There is always some ones home with a large home that may be willing to have it their.
