Did anyone see the movie remake The Hills Have Eyes? Did anybody feel like almost wanting to kill themselves after it? I can handle gore and its not that it grossed me out..but there was way too much of it. Also, the rape scene was out of control.

the rape itself wasnt bad. It just so happened to be she was getting raped, her dad blazing outside, and her mom getting shot all at the same time

I completely agree. I normally love horror movies, but this was just too sick. The scene with the sisters right before the dad gets burned really got to me. I mean, she is trying to save her sister and the guy is going to rape her and then she is shot right in front of the younger sister. I felt really weird after the movie and even my brother joked that he would have to "repent" after that movie.

I was into those horror films back when i was younger. I remember the original version of that movie. I guess i outgrew it because i have no desire to see anything like that anymore. There is too much violence in real life, why should i sit down and watch movies like that as well.
The storylines are always the same anyways. Always ends up with the most quiet-weakest girl out of the whole bunch being the only one surviving to the very end and defeating the boogyman all by herself-whoever the boogyman might be.

I thinm the content of the movie itself and what it was based on was absolutly ridiculous. The rape scene made me feel siock to my stomach. it was too much. I believe that rape scenes should never ever be filmed liek that and put into movies becasue its so disrespectful to those it actually happens to. Also, the whoel gun to a babies head was way to much. I think the movie overstepped the line.

Was crap!! It relied to much on blood and guts with cheap BOO technique scares...My girlfriend walked out of the cinema after the rape scene- probably went a bit far..... Truly scary movies are the ones that can scare the **** out of you with music alone eg. The Exorcist (original).

i saw it. i haven't seen the original make. i have to agree, the rape scene was out of control, but it's one of the best horror movies i've seen in quite some time, bc the movie combines suspense, angst, and horror in a way i honestly thought modern horror movie directors had forgotten how to do.

I saw bits and pieces of the movie, and looks really good, I don't think it's no different then most horror flicks these days. yes it is gory and grusome and ultragraphic, but it looks awesome, looking forward to watching the ending.
