Might sound odd. But if you stop and think about it, wouldn't it just be so much easier not to be Human? Take a glance at what's going on as something else, and appreciate or hate everything at an angle that is not only different, but not biased?

When you consider that virtually every other wild animal dies an unwelcome and violent death at the hands of a predator, I think being human is far more preferable.WIth very few exceptions, humans are the only species to die primarily from old age.

The possible exceptions are family pets, but you'd have to be able to be very selective, as quite a few dogs and cats are either abused or euthanized as well. And regarding being a "pet" animal - I've never wanted to be a "pet" as a human, so I don't think I'd want to be one as an animal either.

I very much appreciate the relative extreme comfort of being human compared to most other living things in the world. I'll live far longer and safer and more comfortable than any other living thing on Earth. Unlike any other counterpart, my human life is uniquely filled with art, leisure, science, and the unique knowledge that I will someday die and therefore should appreciate the value of my life. And my life won't likely end in the gashing teeth of a predator, after mating, or slowly as a parasite planted in my body uses my life blood for it's eggs.

This is a good question, but it favors the appreciation of being human, not the decision to be otherwise. One need only watch a squirrel scanning the skys for a hawk every waking moment of it's life to appreciate the gift of being human.

We are imprisoned within a human body, we don't have freedom at all, we have laws governing us, territories separating us, racism, hatred, selfishness, greed, having to work for money, needing money to eat and live, etc, etc... what kind of life is this?

I think being too civilised and developed also has a big drawback.

Everyone reads you.. Sometimes even cries, sometimes laughes..

It's even nicer being a famous and amazing book..

Everyone reads you.. Everyone understands you.. Although, some pretend to..
