Maybe in some ways but I would say there's more opportunity here than in other countries.

Nope - but in every generation the kind of opportunity changes, and the vision to see that change is always important.
When the first settlers came, the opportunity was creating something out of nothing.
As we settled, the opportunities were exploring the unsettled areas, and making structures (both houses and organizations) in areas where people were settling in.
As we grew, the opportunities became thinking of needs people had and meeting them. (That is still true today.)
Today the opportunities are different than they were 50 years ago, and people right now are creating new ones. That is where America is still the land of opportunity - you can always create new ones.
