for the graphing problems, go to www.quickmath.com, click on Plot under Equations or Inequalities depending on if you have an equation or inequality, click on Advanced, set the Margins to as big as you need them, click plot and you will get your graphs.

5x - 4y = -5
x - 2y = -7

(5x - 4y) + (x - 2y) = -5 + (-7)
5x - 4y + x - 2y = -12
6x - 6y = -12
x - y = -2
x = y - 2

(y - 2) - 2y = -7
y - 2 - 2y = -7
-y - 2 = -7
-y = -5
y = 5

x = 5 - 2 = 3

ANS : (3,5)
