Use the free version of ZoneAlarm. ZoneAlarm does a much better job restricting malicious programs from accessing the Internet. The XP firewall lets programs have a free pass out of the firewall.

AVG is good for a while for free but Macafee seems to be about the best.

Try ashampoo or comando both at www.download.com for anti virus use avg also at download.com

the best and it does not cost u anything is avast,try this www.avast.com you get it free for 60 days then you have to register it it does not cost you anything to register it happy browsing
