It may be wise to look for the CAUSE of your bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS)! A bilateral condition usually indicates a chronic, undiagnosed problem in the neck (cervical spine). In fact, CTS is often MISDIAGNOSED and symptoms may actually be caused by a Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS). Be sure to ask your doctor to explain, in detail, how he/she ruled out TOS. If they cannot or will not explain this to you, then they have not properly evaluated your condition.

A good Chiropractor may be very helpful for you. I would demand the right to see one (or several). $8,000 will be meaningless to you if you are unable to do productive work for the rest of your life because of the loss of use of both hands.

You may also want to consider getting appropriate legal advice. It sounds like the work comp insurance carrier does NOT have your best interest in their 'heart'.

Best wishes and good luck.

I had the surgery done, that should more than cover it for both hands if you need it I think mine was just over 4g's. A good way to re-leave pain~ holding your hand palm side up place the thumb of your other hand on your wrist and move it left to right applying a little pressure. it feels awesome!! if you can get someone else to do it they use both thumbs and go opposite ways with it. The surgery is so worth it too!!

That is more than they offer in many states, once you have had it the amount that they will pay becomes less and less.........not fair but then most laws are not when it comes to the working people.
I have had two surgeries on one and one on the other........it just comes back again and again........

go to your doctor and see if you need to get surgery, if you do then 8,000 isnt enough to cover the health costs.
