A good banker should be customer service oriented, ethical, accurate, have good problem solving and communication skills, and be able to cross-sell.

A Banker's quality depends on what you are looking for. If you are a small business that is going to need to purchase money (loans) then you want to know if the banker has the authority to grant you what you need without lots of red tape. Good bankers understand your needs and the products and services their organizations have to fill them. It's that simple. And yes, some are "better" than others.
