Question???

Anybody work for Ralphs???? you know I'm good with customers the front end person knows it too and I'm good to the courtesy clerks and everybody there, I am considered a combo clerk Courtesy Clerk/Cashier cuz I never went 2 Cashier school (but had Cashier experience from my old store), one of the courtesy clerks asked me today would I ever consider becoming "PIC" or person in charge, you know, I know it comes with a lot of responsibility, I see the "PICs" at work counting the $$$ and stuff, (truth: some of them are power hungry and it is not funny), but does anyone know who I would talk to about doing that, the courtesy clerk thinks I would make a great one, I know he is just a bagger but still, he sees what goes on too, and I kind of think I would be a good one too, he said, he believes there is an opening, you know and if I don't go for it someone else might take it but does anyone know what I would have to do to become PIC?

If the bagger feels you should, try talking to your manager about it and see what he or she thinks(the manager) only they could make it happen and if your as good as you say you are you should have no problem getting the PIC job. good luck with that. Just don't be a power hungry person, they wouldn't want you to change, you know people change though I have seen it many times, they find it funny and get their kicks off telling people what to do because it gives them power which is dumb and if you don't listen they could get you fired thats how they think it is funny but in reality its not especially if he or she is an a**. Only your manager could tell you what you would need, The main manager only, not other Persons In Charge, they would see you as a threat and try anything to not make you one of them because they want it themselves and if they know you will be PIC they won't like you keep it between you and the manager.
