I know someone that had a Dad and Brother that cheated on their wife and kids. This guy was honest and good for years and seemed so opposite of how his Dad and Brother were. Unfortunately this guy snapped one day and cheated on his family too. Everyone has free will but sometimes a family history of cheating comes about. I guess the bottom line is if you truely love a person you wouldn't cheat. You do have a chance of actually settling down and being happy. So please focus on the positive and be strong and not give into temptation.

Something like that is not genetic. Just because they did it does not mean that you will do it too, unless you want to. Cheating is not just something that just happens. You have a chance to break the cycle. If you want it to really work out, then you have to make it.

only you can truly answer that.
my parents each are divorced twice. Still in my first marriage. Sister has three kids, three different fathers.
Different paths, different fates. None from the bloodlines.

Yes, I have never heard or read that cheating is hereditary. Just don't follow in their footsteps and you will be fine.

You will be whomever it is that you wish to be. If you want to be a strong, upstanding, honest, happy, loving man, then that is whom you will be. If you want to be a cheater, yep, you guessed it...you'll be a cheater.

It's up to you.

Best luck and best choice.

Well, there is such a thing as the generational curse. Put God first in your life and your marriage and you will be fine.

first off, you can't blame genetics for cheating....you either will or you won't....I'm sure you already know what type of person you are but if you are afraid that you will you probably haven't met the right person.....keep looking.

That is up to you.....
your thoughts influence your behavior....if you don't want to be that way you need to train your thoughts and actions. You can break the bondage of your family's past!

I agree with Abby....it's up to YOU. Do what you can to develop values, integrity and honesty since it probably was lacking in your upbringing.
