my torso... XL fit's my shoulders and arms, but it looks like I'm in a tent! I cannot find any clothes off the rack at mosts popular stores, even trendy stores like Banana Republic, for example, cut their clothes wide.
I used to be L or XL when I first graduated high school about 15 years ago, but I've kept fit and it feels like clothing sizes have been changing because XL is HUGE now...

Try Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. I'd say Armani or Hugo Boss but they're from Europe.

Are you having a laugh. I believe there are some shops in the US that don't even cater for a women bigger than a size 10-12....considering the average clothes size in the US is a 14, imagine what it is like for all the larger ladies to find trendy clothes.

Also women's clothes sizes are getting smaller and smaller; first there was 0, then 00, now 000! I think they just need to do away with sizes and just use individual measurements instead.

HTH : )

I don't find that at all. I think clothing in the US are cut more for the average to small indiviudal. If you are 6'3" I would shop for tall men, which you can also find in athletic cuts in some dress shirts. Also shop for large or XL, you'll have more success if you shop tall specialty. My son is tall 6'6", in fact, just right...not fat, but must wear tall specialty for proper length and overall fit. He buys L or LX TALL. Tall specialty shops are hard to find and some of the better department stores (high end) will have what they call Big and Tall departments. Watch labeling for the difference between big vs tall. Lands End Mens has a good selection, Casual Male XL is another... try a tall search on the internet and check out your better department stores. Good luck.

Not all clothing in the US is "cut for fat people" my dear. Perhaps you have a physique that requires tayloring of clothing purchased off the rack.

One can have clothing custom made: they measure you. In about a week or so you have clothes that fit.

Finer stores carry, and better labels offer, what is referred to as an "athletic fit."

I doubt you'll find a hat for that big head of yours in the US, so you might have to go European for that.
