No, there is no reason to bar someone from flying just because they wear a T-Shirt equating Bush with terrorism. Your justified disdain of Bush, doesn’t automatically make you a terrorist, for if that were the case, almost 50 percent of this country, if not more, are terrorists, because most detractors of Bush, from politicians to regular citizens, have made this equation before.

A country that was built upon the freedom of expression should not allow for this discriminatory practice. Of course, what do you expect from a country who elected a President who had little regard for our civil liberties to begin with.

your shirt is 100% correct, Bush is the worlds #1 terrorist. No, just because Bush is considered the worlds #1 terrorist does not mean you shouldnt be free to voice (wear) your opinion freely. This is "America" right? Wear it proudly and fly anywhere you want to.

The real question is "Is being a dumbass against the law"

Well, it should be. I don't like GWB either, but he is the leader of the greatest nation on the planet and even though I don't like him, he deserves my respect. I'm 27 and I can't stand most people my age because they have no respect for this great nation. If it were up to me, the asshole with the idiot shirt should and would have been shot.

Leave your political views at home when flying. Besides, if the President is as you say, the worlds number 1 terrorist, then everyone in America, even you, are in league with him. All of the members of the government, and all of the people because they have not done as they should. That said, if you like Islam, then go live there.

Not in my opinion, but we live in very paranoid times.

If I were an airport official I might have to ask the wearer to change into another shirt to avoid upsetting other passengers.

Not everyone gets that kind of humour, that's all. It might cause a safety issue for the person wearing the shirt.

Yup!

You want to wear that around town to express your opinion ... Fine! Boarding a plane with something like that (even though one (or all) might agree), not the smartest thing you've ever done.

Yup, walk to your destination. There is enough trouble in the airline industry!

You shouldn't be prevented from boarding a plane if your wearing a shirt. You should if you are speaking radical islamic rhetoric and you fit the profile of terrorist. You don't judge a book by it's cover. you judge it by it's pages. and if it's pages are threatning enough you don't let that book board the plane.

Since the photo on the shirt made it clear that the wearer wasn't proclaiming to be a terrorist, then no, it wasn't a valid reason to deny boarding.

You are simply an "ENTITLEMENT CHILD" seeking attention for no good reason or purpose.

You might try wearing a t-shirt in Iraq with the Marine Corps emblem on the front and back. Then go wander around the market.

Flying isn't a constitutional right that you're granted. The airlines are private companies that have the right to refuse service to anyone they like. If you feel the need to smartass your personal views at a time of national sensitivity over airline safety and vulnerability to nut cases, I suggest you stick to Greyhound for your travel needs.
