If you sign onto the master screen name (name with the * next to it) and go to keyword: AOL Screen Names, you can chose to delete that screen name, which will erase the email. You will need to wait 6 months until it will be FULLY deleted (kind of like how you delete email, and then can permanently delete it)and before it can become available to anyone else, though.
