I'm a fifteen year old Texan who is in desperate need of a job. A /real/ job. Baby sitting, mowing lawns, ect. are not options for me.

Due to my family's financial situation [and the fact that I'd like to some day go to college] I need to become employed ASAP. I consider myself to be intelligent and competent, but most places require you be at least sixteen to work at their company.

So!
Does anyone have any suggestions or know of any employers of fifteen year olds? Internet-related things are also fine, so long as they are not a scam or advert type of thing.

Also, NO FAST FOOD!
I am a strong vegetarian and refuse to work at McDonalds or Wendy's!

Thanks!
xxxLips

Stick to your convictions... and go hungry. If you want to be PAID, you have to make compromises. Vegetarian, sheesh.

omg. ok, i am 15 yrs old too and i NEED a job. I've gone through the phone book and even called place i'm intrested in working at. Cold Stone and Baskin Robbins both hire at 15, and thats all I've found so far. But you will need a food handlers permit(which is not at all hard to get, but it cost $20-$25). Also, when I was 14 I got a job but because I had connections with the owner. If you or your parents know anyone who is an owner or manager or just has good connections then that would be the best way for a 15 yr old to get a job. Good Luck.

If your parents say it is ok to join---I have found several legitimate work at home sites so far, and one of them made me $494+ in October, $700+ in November, and $838.57 in December. They are free to join.

Please click my screen name or avatar for more information and a link for proof of payment and lots of specific details.

I made some nice money at first, but once I found out these sites were legitimate, I started adding referrals and the money got a lot better. For every person you refer, you get 20% of what they earn on 2 of these sites. And for every person that one of your referrals refer, you get 10% on one site and 5% on the other. In time--this could be a great source of income--making money while other people are in a sense, working for you.

If you get 5 referrals who earn $20 a month, that is an extra $20 in your pocket. If you get 100 referrals earning $20 a month, that is an extra $400 you'll earn every month!!!

And by the way--never join a work at home program that wants you to pay up front. If they were making that much money, they wouldn't need to charge you.

Note: There are a lot of other sites listed too as well as the payout for each.

I believe that farms in America can legally employ under 16 year old part time workers.

I know a lot of unemployment agencies post job listings, maybe they could help you with that. Your Human Services office may be able to help you with that also. Good Luck!
