I feel I can be a volunteer for sheltor or speak at group meeting for survivers of domestic violance groups how do I go about this and where do I call here in Houston Texas ??

Call the City Of Houston's free help line # 311, You could get information about volunteering with the Crisis Hot - Line , They always need , and it would be much appreciated ..

I would start at a home for abused and battered women.
I sell lingerie and we have a fund raiser called 'nighties for the needy' and we donate cute lingerie to these homes, to help with the self esteem a bit. I get lots of thank you's, so I'm thinking that they help.

I have no idea, I tried to donate some items (maternity, baby clothes, toys) to the women's shelter in my town and they were kind of hateful when they said they are not taking donations right now. Guess I will have to find someone else to help. Good luck.

Contact your local crimestoppers they might have all that info, also Human Services or the police department may have that info also.
